Who are we?
Founded in 1995, the Stephen F. Austin Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) is part of a nationwide program that aims to instill values such as responsibility, citizenship, discipline, accomplishment, and dedication to the United States in high school students. By embracing our motto, “Honor, Courage, Commitment,” cadets evolve into leaders, allowing our unit to be entirely student-led.
“The JROTC programs emphasize character education, student achievement, wellness, leadership, and diversity. Students receive training in military history, leadership protocol, weaponry, and drill within a specific military branch. The program not only contributes significantly to the school environment but also strengthens the community, all while fostering servant leadership.”
Within our unit, there’s a place for everyone, with teams focusing on a variety of areas, including STEM, Marksmanship, Physical Training, and Academics, among others.
